I completely agree with you, its not weird at all. A lot of people saw them as just friends and I think the show as a whole would've been better had it stayed that way considering all the stuff they chose to do to make it a thing. Pre-volume 6 they were just friends. The second the other love interest is gone, oh look we've suddenly developed romantic feelings. One of the reasons I love Jelloapocalypse's video on Rwby. "Sometimes not talking is the best way to advance a character. Like Yang and Bland who not talk their way into being girlfriends cuz the fanbase was so insistent about it that the writers gave up I guess".

I think its not just the writers but also the marketing team. Since Blake and Yang has a big ship fanbase. RT is targeting them to milk some money. After this episode I'm losing interest to watch this series. But still Ruby, Weiss, Jaune and the rest are there . I don't care to Blake and Yang anymore. Their pure friendship is now gone.

I agree with you. Ruby and Blake were my favorite characters, and I never really liked Weiss. But they started writing Blake out of character in volume 5, and then in Volume 6 it started going down hill with Bumblebee just kinda...pooping on everything and everyone around it just to tease it. I started to finally like Weiss in the volume, and I'm interested in what happens to my girl Ruby...but the start of that confession scene felt so obvious and contrived I dont think im gonna keep watching. Ive been watching the show just to see how bad it gets since Ironwood went Hitler on us. Im glad the teasing is finally over, and im happy for them I guess, but its just too much for me at this point. Even if this was my preferred ship (Ladybug) id still be annoyed with all of this, just less cuz bias

Literally when Yang was introducing herself to Blake she had this flirty expression. Bumblebee was planned from the beginning even Yang and Blakes Va's stated it as well as Monty teasing it in a volume 2 stream before.

You are literally making stuff up. No she didn't. No Monty didn't, Monty just didn't directly answer a question. He left things open to interpretation, and said anything was possible. Idk about the VA's but it sounds false. You dont have to make up excuses for Bumblebee. Especially because it would only make it worse. If Bumblebee was planned from the start why was Sun the primary love interest getting the spotlight with Blake for 4 years. Only for Yang and Blake to suddenly be into each other, with no subtelty the second Sun's written out the show, despite all the pissed feelings and everything else. Regardless of whether it was planned or not the writing surrounding the ship is bad, period. If it was planned they should've never included Sun in the first place, maybe itd stop aggravating me then. Not like it matters Bumblebee fans won't regardless.

Don't forget Blake's initial relationship with Adam and her rejection of Ilia. Ilia and Blake would make more sense than Bumblebee.

Also go watch the scene where Yang and Ruby introduce themselves to Blake with your prior knowledge Look at Yangs face the entire time. If thats not a flirty look idk what is. Yang is a naturally flirty person, always has been. Thats not special. They just met, and Yang is more there for Ruby than herself.
Also BlackSun isn't my "OTP" LadyBug is, always has been always will be. I just prefer Black Sun because Black Sun was actually fairly well written. There was chemistry, and surely interested that slowly built up with their being clear romantic interest both ways. Bumblebee was not that, thy just randomly started being romantically into eachother, and its obvious the writers thought they were pushing it too much because in later volumes they pulled back on it a lot compared to what they were doing before.

Also like the last person stop telling people how to feel. If media is allowed to make you happy enough to smile, and sad enough to cry desoite being fictional then it can make you upset. Especially when youre upset at how something turned out or was done poorly. "Not everything has underlying meaning"
